Food is always very good, best guacamole I've ever had! The servers are very friendly.

Very friendly service. You get your food quick and it's exceptionally good. I would reccomend if you didn't want to cook dinner.

Best Mexican restaurant on the midwest coastline. Javier is pretty much the best person I've ever met. Did somebody say guacamole? No. But they have it their fried taco is a real heck of s dish. Little known fact: they were supposed to he called "Don Jalapeno" but when the furniture showed up it said Mi Jalapeno. Thus the die was cast for Smithton's best Mexican resturant!

Best authentic Mexican food for miles around (only 8 minutes outside of Belleville), and the MARGARITAS are to die for. Great service and very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone in the mood for REAL Mexican food. If you like it spicy ask them to kick it up a notch...they will and it is worth it. Love this place.

Has amazing bean burritos and rice and alot of other things

I shouldn't have ordered scallops. They didn't taste quite right. My wife had chicken and it was fine. Wouldn't make a special trip to go back.

Always great and friendly service. Great food. Frozen margarita with peach mascoto is a tasty treat to get your revved up before your meal arrives. Chorizo is very good. Try this place!

I stopped in in a whim, and was blown away. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable!My burrito was so huge, it made 3 meals!

I have eaten here many times and never had mediocre anything. Great food. Super friendly service.Get the Cadilac Margarita. Worth the premium price for sure.

Good food, attentive staff, owner waits on customers and loves his job, need I say more. Salsa and chips brought out upon being seated.

Bad customer service and bad food

So I go here often but last week my meal while tasty only had 1 teaspoon of sour cream. When I asked for more I was told it would be 99 cents extra. It should been more like a dollop of sour cream. I hear they give kids free chips and salsa if they buy a soft drink. I'll drive to Freeburg from now on. I won't be back.

Meals do not look like the pictures, the meals do not come with what is pictured. If you question the waitres she laughs at you and says the pictures are old. Even if you ask ahead of time before you order if it comes with it.

The food was not as good as it was several months ago. The chips tasted like they came from Sam's club, "bagged". The rice was cold, shredded iceberg lettuce seemed fresh. Tomatoes still had green stem left in it. Beef burritos tasted like old tamales ground meat, chicken burrito was dry. I will not go again and I live in Smithton Illinois.

Great for local eats...realy no other option but still good. I spent 2 years in Cali, Salinas Valley, and tho they aren't crazy good, not bad for the arm pit of 'Merica.

Good food great staff

Food was good but the service was horrible. I believe the waiter we had was new which is fine, he has to start somewhere but the other staff could've helped (there were only a handful of other customers there). 2 of the 4 of us didn't get straws or silverware until asked for several times. The food is almost worth it if you have the time or patience to wait for it.

Food is always great! It's not the run of the mill Mexican that all taste likes it out of a can. Fresh, hot and fast! Definitely try the guacamole!

Will no longer accept Groupons even if you already have purchased them. I will trying other places in the future. They do have pretty good food but there are plenty of Mexican restaurants around to choose from. Follow up .Ate there again today. Happy to eat inside of a restaurant because of Covid 19 shutdown. I had an entree that was $9.99 and my wife had an item that was $6.99. She had a soda and I had water. Food was great. When I paid at the cash register, we didn't receive our ticket at the table, our bill was over $26.00. I never said anything about the bill, which was my fault, I just paid it. Was there a Covid 19 surcharge of $5.00? I believe there was. A lot of people have taken financial losses because of the virus but don't expect customers to make up your loss.

I love their food! We eat low-carb and still are able to eat at Mi Jalapenos, the servers are very helpful and the servings are very generous.
